Michael Schmit is the Remanufacturing Technology Director at GE Healthcare located in Waukesha, WI. Michael has worked at GE Healthcare for 18 years in various Technology, Supply Chain and Quality positions and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering as well as an MBA, both from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. He has global experience in driving market advocacy for Healthcare Remanufactured products and is the Vice-Chair of the COCIR (European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry) GRP Focus Group which has published an Industry Standard on Good Refurbishment Practices for Medical Equipment. Mike is also a member of the Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC) which promotes the development of Remanufacturing across a broad range of industries. He has represented the Healthcare and Remanufacturing Industry at several WTO and APEC Conferences through presentations and discussions regarding Reman and Sustainability efforts. GE Healthcare provides high quality low cost remanufactured medical devices including MRI, Xray, CT, Nuc Med, PET and Ultrasound globally.
