Director of Education and Workforce Development
John Kreckel serves as the Director of Education and Workforce at the Department of Energy lead REMADE Institute. In this role, John is driving the institute’s efforts to train the U.S. workforce in key areas of sustainable manufacturing, including remanufacturing. John formerly served as the Director of Economic Development for Congresswoman Louise Slaughter of New York. He received his J.D. from Vermont Law School and B.A. from the University of Rochester.
Business Track 1: Workforce Strategies
John will present major findings, recommendations and progress from a recently completed Education & Workforce Development study of the reman workforce skills and needs/gaps to provide direction and suggested areas for investment, partnership and training development.
