Siva Balakrishnan

Siva Balakrishnan is the General Manager of Lifecycle Solutions in GE Healthcare. He spearheads the lifecycle management of equipment and parts in GE HealthCare with primary focus on product and part circularity through remanufacturing, refurbishment and redeployment of equipment driving equipment lifecycle extension and repair/parts harvesting for extending parts lifecycles.

Siva began his career in GE after finishing a dual masters in Drexel University in Philadelphia with the Corporate Audit Staff in 1994 and has seen a succession of roles in GE Capital (in India as well as the United States).

Prior to his GE Career, he worked for 2 years with Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai in India.

His roles in GE include being one of the first Six Sigma black belts in GE Capital (India) and he went onto becoming a Master Black Belt (with GE Capital Fleet Services in Minneapolis) before becoming quality leader for GE Capital Trailer Fleet Services in Philadelphia. After his six-sigma stint, he took on a role as operations leader with Trailer Fleet Services in Philadelphia.

Siva decided to leave GE in 2008 (as GE Capital began winding down operations in the equipment service businesses) and joined Terex Corporation to run the Aftermarket business for its Aerial Work Platform businesses. He ran two P&Ls in aftermarket in Terex during his tenure at Terex before leaving Terex to run the Aftermarket P&L for Gardner Denver in Milwaukee.

He returned to GE (with GE Healthcare) to run the GoldSeal and the parts “go to market” initiatives in late 2016.

His interests include playing golf, watching sports and visiting new locations with his family across the US.

He is married and has two daughters and lives in the Brookfield area of Wisconsin.
