Magdi Azer has 20+ years of technical and business management experience focused on manufacturing technology development and deployment. After initially working as a repair development engineer, he spent the majority of his career transitioning technologies across the innovation pipeline at General Electric, focusing on the “valley of death”. More recently, he has held leadership positions with the Manufacturing USA Institutes, public-private partnerships established to revitalize American manufacturing and support domestic manufacturing competitiveness. As CTO of REMADE, he guides the technical direction and programs of the Institute. He also serves as the Associate Director for Manufacturing Sciences at the Illinois Applied Research Institute.
