Attendees of the World Remanufacturing Conference 2019 will get a close-up look at the ongoing expansion of Rochester Institute of Technology’s (RIT) remanufacturing facility at the Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS).
Two intensive short courses will be offered by the Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS) at the Rochester Institute of Technology. They intend to give WRC 2019 attendees an opportunity to learn directly from researchers outside the traditional conference setting through a mix of lecture presentations, discussion, and hands-on learning activities.
The ACE Awards are based on the mission of the Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC) to ADVOCATE, COLLABORATE, and EDUCATE on behalf of the remanufacturing industry. These extraordinary awards were the first of their kind involving all sectors. The three nomination categories are: Advocate, Collaborate, and Educate.
New for this year’s conference is an optional pre-conference networking dinner. Network with other conference attendees over dinner and beer. Enjoy a tour of the microbrewery in the Genesee Brew House and learn more about this historic Rochester site.
Remanufacturing relies on a variety of process steps not performed during original product manufacturing, and as such, many of these processes have not undergone the same extensive refinement, standardization, and technological optimization that are typically implemented during the initial manufacturing stage.
