The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved the first remanufacturing standard, RIC RIC001.1-2016: Specifications for the Process of Remanufacturing in 2017. The Golisano Institute for Sustainability is a leading sustainability research, development, and technology deployment unit within RIT. GIS consists of academic programs in sustainability and a diverse set of applied research centers, sponsored programs and initiatives that focus on industry and government collaboration on the deployment of new technologies for more efficient and sustainable products, processes, and systems.

On this tour, get a behind the scenes look at technologies being used for remanufacturing research, including additive and subtractive manufacturing, cleaning, and materials characterization.
