Tana Utley, Vice President, Caterpillar
Tana L. Utley is vice president with responsibility for the Large Power Systems Division at Caterpillar Inc. Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines and remanufactured components in the industry. LPSD’s large engines are used to power marine, electric power, oil and gas, and rail applications as well as Cat® mining machines. The division also provides engine, machine and component remanufacturing—the process of returning an end-of-life product to “same-as-when-new” condition in a manufacturing environment—which reduces Caterpillar’s overall environmental impact and helps customers reduce their total cost of ownership.
Andrew Morlet, CEO, Ellen MacArthur Foundation
Andrew Morlet has had over 25 years experience in corporate, business and IT strategy consulting, having worked with executives of leading international and domestic companies across the world. Before joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, he was a global managing director with Accenture based in the USA and UK, and prior to that a Partner with McKinsey & Company based in Asia.
He now leads the Business Programmes of the Foundation, which include the Global Partners and the CE100 – a global innovation platform designed to bring together large corporates, emerging innovators and government bodies to define and launch initiatives with the aim to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.

Trade, Policy & Market Access
Remanufacturing offers great opportunities to contribute significantly to the economies of both developed and developing countries. This session will highlight the state of regional efforts to facilitate the development of reman supply chains and seamless trade, and how such efforts are addressing issues such as import bans, stringent regulation, and inspection requirements.
Additive Technologies
Additive manufacturing (AM) technologies have long been used in remanufacturing, but with the explosion of 3D printing technologies, new AM processes are rapidly hitting the market. This session will feature the various AM processes available for reman applications highlighting technical characteristics and economic factors.
Cleaning
The main purpose of cleaning during the reman process is to facilitate inspection and damage correction. Cleaning can require one or multiple processes including both manual and machine operations. Attendees will learn the latest innovations in aluminum cleaning.
